Me and Dad

Joanna is a creative soul.

My dad was a woodworker, who could build about anything he saw. And when he found something he wanted to make, he would make one for everyone he loved.

Mom was a pre-Pinterest crafter extraordinaire. She could take other people’s trash, and turn it into a treasure.

They instilled in me a love for creating.

I love creating handmade items and inspiring others to explore their creativity through hosted craft events in my barn.

I have a couple of small lasers that I use to for small-batch custom creations. Perfect for when you want something personalized for yourself or your business, but you don’t need a hundred items.

I have a special affinity for transforming old items into something new and unique.

Mom and Dad

My parents poured into me a love for God, a love for others, and a love for creating. I took that love of creating and the tools I inherited from Dad and turned it into a side business. So by day, I am a mild-mannered editor, and by night I disappear into my shop and create and restore. When I started my business, I wanted to find a way to honor the memory of my parents. May 29, 1963 is the day these two amazing people stood before God and family and pledged their undying love to each other. It was an honor to watch their love story unfold.

Mom and Dad, thank you for molding me into the person I am today. 529ReStored is thanks to you.
