Falling in Love With Bookmark Making

Do you ever get completely lost in your work — the good kind of lost, where creativity takes over and suddenly hours have passed? That happened to me recently after watching a YouTube video from Industrial Fringe. He was making these amazing leatherette bookmarks, and I fell in love instantly. They were so cool, and I knew I wanted to try making them myself.

So I bought the designs. I bought the leatherette. And here’s the funny part: I didn’t actually think my current laser could handle them. I bought everything as a kind of “hope chest” for the laser I want to buy in the future. Crazy, right?

As it turns out . . . my laser was more capable than I gave it credit for.

I made my first set, and I was hooked. Completely. I kept making more and more, and before long I wanted new styles — so I started designing my own. Something clicked creatively, and I literally cannot stop making them. It’s become one of those projects that just lights me up every time I sit down to work.

These bookmarks will make their debut at the Hearth & Co. Fall Market in White House on October 10, 2026. After the market, I’ll add them to the web store so everyone can grab their favorites.

Speaking of favorites . . . which line do you love most?

Booktrovert? Sassy? Man of God? Kingdom Kiddos?

I’d love to know which one speaks to you.
